ProtimluvFest 2026

Autorská čtení a besedy českých i zahraničních autorů i autorek v Ostravě. Přehlídka zaměřená na různá témata, letos při příležitosti 20. výročí festivalu reflektující téma „O slavnosti a hostech“ s odkazem na slavnou filmovou politickou satiru z 60. let režiséra Jana Němce. ProtimluvFest je mezinárodní literární festival zaměřený zejména na představení literatury ze zemí Visegrádu a zemí jihovýchodní Evropy.

Během 20 let byly hosty ProtimluvFestu uznávané osobnosti světové prózy i poezie: nositelka Nobelovy ceny Olga Tokarczuk, chorvatský básník Marko Pogačar, polští básníci Ryszard Krynicki a Adam Zagajewski, prozaička Ivana Gibová a mnozí další.
Z domácích tvůrců na ProtimluvFestu vystoupili Michal Ajvaz, Jan Balabán, Petr Borkovec, Hnát Daněk, Jaroslav Erik Frič, Petr Hruška, Radovan Jursa, Petr Král, Petr Motýl, Jakub Řehák a mnozí další.

Chceme pomoci hlubšímu uvědomění si naší společné identity a kulturního dědictví a hlavně vzbudit zájem veřejnosti o domácí i zahraniční literární tvorbu.

The 20th edition of ProtimluvFest – an international literary festival reflecting this year‘s theme dedicated to „Party and the Guests“, inspired by the famous Czech political satire by Jan Němec. ProtimluvFest is an international literary festival that features mainly literature from the Visegrad countries and their contemporary artists, but also artists from south-east European countries such as Slovenia, Bosnia, Romania and Greece.

Over its 20 years, the festival‘s guests have included Nobel Prize winner Olga Tokarczuk, poets Marko Pogačar from Croatia, Ryszard Krynicki and Adam Zagajewski from Poland, and prose writers László Szilasi from Hungary and Ivana Gibová from Slovakia, among others. Czech authors who have performed include Michal Ajvaz, Jan Balabán, Petr Borkovec, Hnát Daněk, Jaroslav Erik Frič, Petr Hruška, Radovan Jursa, Petr Král, Petr Motýl, Jakub Řehák and many others.

Both the main theme of each year‘s programme and the readings, interactive discussions and sessions that follow aim to strengthen the common V4 identity and heritage. ProtimluvFest takes place annually in Ostrava in mid-October.
